Keri Blalock

Owner and CEO

Keri spent over 25 years in the Mortgage banking/Finance Industry prior to expanding into the renewable energy space years ago. Her expertise in compliance, ethics, lending law and regulation in both Consumer Finance and Mortgage , SOP design and implementation led her to become one of the top loan originators during her mortgage career, and made an incredible impact when she entered the renewable space years ago. During her career, she has been a top notch lead generator who built a client base of realtors, builders, and a referral network system ensuring only top production levels in her career. At the same time, she led and managed her operations team, implementing processes and procedures to ensure the most efficient timelines and products were delivered to her client base, as well as kept on top of ever changing regulation guidelines. Keri has extensive experience in residential electrical contracting, solar sales and operations management at an executive level, energy efficient installations, solar project management and inventory management. All of this making her an excellent leader who is multi-faceted. Her leadership skills have guided and coached many employees with values of ethics, integrity, and innovation. Solar energy is her passion and her hope is to educate as many people as possible on the benefits and incentives of solar energy. She has designed and implemented many quality control processes in the solar industry that help to ensure the most efficient system design and overall client experience. Keri has developed a well-educated, highly driven leadership team at My Own Power and will continue to mentor her team with the latest technology and vision to ensure they are the best at what they do… help consumers GO SOLAR, one home at a time.

Keri is a 30 year Burleson resident, married with 7 children and 13 grandchildren. Keri is a longtime member of Pathway Church, and enjoys traveling with her husband, hunting and fishing, and spending time with her family. Reading and always seeking the newest technologies and education in the solar industry are also some of her favorites thing to do.

Kenny Blalock

President of Development and Construction

President of Development and Construction

Kenny is a well versed in all aspects of construction including but not limited to HVAC, Roofing, Remodel, New Construction, Residential and Commercial Solar Energy Installations, and Energy Efficiency Rehabbing. Kenny has a long-established pipeline of contactor relations covering his 33 years of experience in the construction industry. His work displays his knowledge in the construction space, and his work ethic and valued contractor relations are second to none. Kenny is key to the success and operation of the growth and development of My Own Power and their team.

Kenny is a 30 year Burleson resident, and is married with 7 children and 13 grandchildren. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling with his wife, hunting and fishing and spending time with family.

Sandi Keith

VP of Operations and customer relations

Sandra Keith serves as the VP of Operations and Customer Relations for MyOwnPower, focusing on organizational structure and project execution. Sandi has served the renewable energy industry for over 6 years and possesses expertise in solar power and home efficiencies. With her diverse and proven qualifications, she joined MYO 2016 as a Project Manager. Sandi is skilled at every facet needed to develop a renewable energy project. She is happy to say that working in the renewable industry has allowed her to be apart of a movement that not only her, but her family can be proud of.

Mandi Cooper

Social Media Manager

Mandi began her career in the renewable energy industry 6 years ago, when she became an Administrative Assistant to the VP of Operations for a Solar Energy Company. She worked closely with the departments of Finance, Project Management, Customer Service, Contract Agreement, Sales, and Marketing; which allowed her to experience the entire Operational Process, from lead generation to completed install!! She then went on to achieve her Bachelor’s of Science Degree in the field of Communication Studies, which guided her to specialize in consumer engagement, quality control, customer satisfaction and implementation of strategic planning. She is a people person and enjoys being able to communicate with past, present, and future clientele, ensuring that all have an incredible experience. She aims to create content that will educate all who come across MYO’s social media platforms

Tarah Miller

VP of Inside Sales and Marketing

Tarah was born, raised, and currently resides in Burleson, TX. She is married with two little girls who are ages 3 and 1. Tarah has been attending Pathway Church since she was a teen and enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, going to the lake or the beach, and dancing like no one is watching. Her passion for helping others has led to her success with inside sales and marketing for My Own Power. With genuine integrity and exciting fascination for the solar industry, Tarah is devoted to educating each homeowner she speaks with on how solar will benefit their home. Shortly into her career she received her Master of Science in Management and Leadership and strives to continuously remain educated, enlightened, and challenged in her daily obstacles. Tarah’s bright and outgoing spirit provides My Own Power with an authentic, positive, and trustworthy experience starting with the initial solar energy request.

Taylre Rivas

VP of Finance and Business Development

At just 15 years old, Taylre entered her journey in the Mortgage Banking Industry. Just one year later, at only 16 she graduated high school and dug right in to her full-time career processing mortgage loans for many of the mortgage industry’s top producers in the area. Being young, and hungry for success, she was mentored closely and quickly learned to value the meaning of hard work ethic, dedication and to always take a step further than your competition. A few years later, Taylre entered the renewable energy space. She again was mentored by leaders of the solar industry, worked closely with CEOs, talented and highly experienced CFOS, hyper growth executives, and marketing pros. Being an executive level leader, Taylre developed and maintained lending relationships that in turn assisted in promoting next level growth and maximum profits for her client base. Taylre’s expertise in compliance, ethics, lending law and regulation, SOP design and implementation, financial operation and regulation in both consumer finance and mortgage lending, assisted her in making an incredible impact in the renewable energy industry. She prides herself in the ability to successfully and efficiently lead operational teams, while implementing processes and procedures to ensure the quickest timelines and satisfactory service is delivered to each customer.

Sam Gatóo

Sales Director

Sam Gatóo is an enthusiastic leader and Sales Director in the solar industry. Sam has managed hundreds of system design and installs. Sam came into the industry just over 3 years ago after almost 20 years in hospitality working with Ritz Carlton, Hilton and Marriott. During his tenure his responsibilities mainly included opening, rebranding and/or stimulating existing properties which were not achieving their goals. 


His experience within hotels meant moving often about every 18 months. Not much different from his time served in the Army as a first lieutenant. Sam brings the same level of passion and attention to detail which were necessary as an opening executive team member at the Rockwall Hilton, the Santa Fe Buffalo Thunder Casino Resort and Spa, and the Westin Cleveland Downtown. Sam was on the action team to open the Ritz Carlton Moscow, rebrand the Ritz Carlton Kingdom of Bahrain (which quickly became the number one Gallup rated Ritz Carlton in the world). He has worked various other stimulation projects like the downtown Raleigh Marriott which had not met budget in 5 years and the historic Netherland Plaza Hotel which had been decreasing in numbers for decades and Sam successfully turned high properties around to be included in the top 10% revenue annually. Sam has unmatched knowledge on properly sizing and placing a system for your home. 


He is also a proud father of four and spends most of his time from work interacting with his children’s school and extracurricular activities.
